&Beyond Mahua Kothi Jungle Lodge
Bandhavgarh National Park, Madhya Pradesh - India

Famous for its sightings of the king of the jungle, Bandhavgarh National Park supports one of the highest densities of tiger in India. The park is also home to a large variety of mammals, from leopard and spotted chital deer to nilgai, wild boar, chinkara, sloth bear, rhesus macaque, grey langur, jungle cat, hyena, porcupine, jackal, fox and wild dog.

Delivering an authentic jungle experience, Mahua Kothi Jungle Lodge’s 12 kutiyas are set deep in bamboo and stately Sal tree thickets, and surround an original Kothi, or homestead, which boasts spacious and welcoming guest areas. Private courtyards with shaded seating and traditional mud floors lead into each of the charming kutiyas. Ensuite bathrooms feature twin hand basins, indoor showers, baths and separate toilets. Humorous touches and original homestead furniture contribute to the feeling of a personal home. Yoga amenities are provided in a basket, while traditional Indian games of marbles and Chaupad help while away leisure hours. Shared guest areas coast high ceiling, terracotta floor tiles, inviting fireplaces and a traditional sitting area with window seats. A vast veranda runs the length of the building, with built-in seats for stargazing. Bicycles parked alongside the suite issue an open invitation to explore.
